In the opening ceremony, head of Croatian parliamentary friendship group, president of the Iran chamber of commerce, deputy head of Croatian Embassy in Tehran and heads of Halal center in Iran and Croatia gave speeches. The three-day conference was attended by a number of businessmen working in the production and distribution of halal products and services in Croatia and the southeastern European region, as well as food industry organizations and Iranian economic activists. At the beginning of the meeting, GholamHossein Shafei, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran and the Board of Directors of Ikirik, said : It is a pleasure for me that the countries of southeastern Europe and Croatia will be present at this conference. I hope this trip can be effective in improving Iran's relations with southeastern Europe. Aldin Dogonic head of Croatian Halal center in this conference said: capacities and capabalities of Halal bussiness in Iran and Balkan countries shoul be considered. in Croatia we have 7000 hlal productions and 250 units which have hala certificates and with concern of Iran's 85 milion populations, we have to pay more attentions to thid big market.  Zlatko Hassanbegovic, head of the Friendship Group of the Croatian Parliament, said: "I need to express my happiness at hosting the Iranian chamber, and also thank the representative of neighboring Bosnia, Montenegro and Serbia on this trip. He continued: "Iran is among the first countries to recognize Croatia's independence, which has been achieved by Croatia's resistance to the aggressors.
